Well the piece of gear that has made the biggest different in my studio over the last two years is definitely the SSL XDESK and I cannot wait to add another at a later time. My mixes now sound 100% better and more professional than ever. Will never mix in the box again. There is no need to have my mix down done digitally once you hear how the tracks are massaged together through the SSL Super Analogue Circuity. If you get a chance to try this piece or buy one, please do. You will not regret it. Best purchase of 2009!
